This fun-filled photoshoot is perfect for an individual child for their first or second birthday.
A fast paced four-part shoot celebrates and captures your little one at this very special stage in their development.
Read on to find out how you can enjoy a Cake Smash and Splash session with your baby and what you need to know to make this session a success!
The session
- 1 – Let’s photograph your baby in a lovely dressed up outfit, something they would wear to go to a special function or party would be ideal.
- 2 – Let’s get messy with the cake! Move over from our traditional background to the Cake Smash Set, don’t forget to change into something special to smash the cake! We have lots of Tutus and shorts on hand to wear! We will be trimmed up with bunting and on a clean vinyl backdrop floor we will present your tot with a yummy cake and a huge spoon for them to get stuck in with.
- 3 – Pop your birthday boy or girl into a lovely vintage style baby bath for a super clean up with lots of foamy bubbles!
- 4 – Out of the bath and baby gets snugged up in a super warm towel or dressing gown for the last few photographs to be taken. That’s it! Cleaning up is my job!
Now is the time to capture and hold these little details forever.
They are only little once!

Booking
The best time to photograph your little one’s cake smash session is within a fortnight of their birthday so please book the date as soon as you can.
Session Fees are £100 for one hour of studio time. (Details on investment page).
Siblings are welcome to join in with the first part of the session (not with the actual cake smash part ).

The Shoot
I am so excited to see you! I love to see the little ones arrive for the cake smash. We start with a chat and a few choices so that we can design your shoot together according to your tastes.
It’s great to have a few minutes to let your little on settle into the surroundings and get to know me a little before I pick up the camera.
The session is a mad paced frenzy of happy, it is incredibly noisy and you will have to put up with my singing, it will be worth it I promise!
Before you know it we will have moved through all the stages of the shoot and your tot will be getting ready to leave. It really is a crazy session so remember each moment!
Reveal & Ordering
I aim to present you with around 40 edited images to choose from at your ordering appointment which is usually scheduled for the following week.
I can do same day turnaround and ordering if you are travelling a long way, just let me know when booking and I will work something out for you.
